  I visited many preschools and I thought this one was one of the nicest as far as the facilities were concerned. I showed up at the school and the administrators in the office (excluding the helpful young lady sitting at the front desk) seemed to be snotty and rude. Peggy (Older Brunette Lady) gave me a tour and let me know that scheduled tours were given at an earlier date. She appeared to be annoyed that she had to take time out of her day to show me around. I needed to find a preschool soon, so I put my feelings aside in regards to the office staff. I went ahead and filled out the paperwork at the end of March 2012 and the front office put a lot of urgency on collecting our money to hold our spot, so I turned in my payment the following day. Anyhow, our financial circumstances changed in May and NCUMP does not offer any kind of flexible child before/after care for working parents, so we attempted to cancel our registration under the assumption they would keep our $125.00 registration fee and prorate the remainder of what we paid. Keep this in mind it is 4 months before school even starts. According to their rules they kept 50% of what we paid plus the $125.00 registration plus the $50.00 for the Family number. (Shame on us for not reading the "contract" carefully.) They basically received about $900.00 for no services rendered. Now I know why their facilities look so great. What kind of Christian Organization feels they are entiled to keeping so much money for doing absolutely nothing? What does this do to the family who is struggling with their finances while NCUMP keeps more than 1/2 of your money for doing absolutely nothing!!! I believe everything happens for a reason and out of this bad situation we found a good preschool for a much more reasonable price with flexible hours depending on what you need (7:30 am - 6:00 pm) with "real Christian values" and they are open 12 months out of the year. Orange Tree Preschool on Bison & Jamboree right next to Newport Christian School.
